What to expect on your dogsledding outing

Experience the unique thrill of a Quebecois dog sledding excursion. When you arrive on site, you will meet our guides in a warm yurt where and receive a safety briefing before being introduced to your team of excited sled dogs. You’ll have the opportunity to request your preferred position on the sled, and our guides will make sure you’re placed in the best spot for your comfort and safety. There is one driver and one or two passengers per sled. Adults have the chance to drive their own sled (unless decided otherwise) and will usually have 1 adult passenger. About halfway through the excursion, drivers and passengers can switch positions if they wish to. Our guides will also decide if children will ride as passengers with the guide or on parents’ sled.

Once your team is ready to go, you will head off on wide open fields before reaching a wooded, winding and hilly terrain. Our expert guides will make sure you’re equipped to handle any physical and technical challenges that come your way, making this excursion perfect for both beginners and experienced riders alike. After an exhilarating hour on the trails, you will have the chance to visit the dogs and their kennel, learning about their care and training. The activity ends with a nice cup of hot chocolate and some cookies back at the yurt.
